Key Growth Initiatives
1985
Jewell Distributors the company was formed and the first premises leased in Winnellie with a total of 250m2. With three agencies and two staff members, business began in a flurry.
1986
Soon we outgrew the existing premises through the development of strong industry relationships and the addition of major agencies. A larger site was acquired that featured 500m2 of floor space as were two extra staff members to meet the ongoing demand.
1990
Jewell Distributors turnover rapidly expanded again and the decision was made to purchase its own premises to allow for future expansion and growth. The Berrimah site was selected and construction commenced of the new 600m2 warehouse with a 90m2 office.
1994
Stage 2 of the Berrimah premises was finished adding an additional 600m2 of secure warehouse space. In keeping with the expansion two additional employees were acquired.
1999
Stage 3 of the Berrimah premises was completed giving Jewell Distributors a total of 1800m2 of warehouse space with ten agencies and ten staff members.
2000
To complement the additional warehouse space, office floor space was expanded to 180m2. This was an ideal opportunity and include a small conference room, while providing additional office space for future expansion.
2004
Further extensions were made to our existing warehouse to give a total of 1500m2.
2006
Jewell Distributors took on a project to store and deliver 5000 computers into schools throughout the Northern Territory and within a shorter time frame.
2007
Currently our hardworking team and very diverse are able to adapt to the ever changing needs of our customers.
2008
Jewell Distributors has improved their warehouse by adding new pallet racking into their first warehouse giving them an additional storage capabilities.
